What happens when dancers and scientist meet in order to develop a research project together? How do both sides profit from one another? What difficulties are they confronted by?
Tamed is currently accompanying a research project in which dance professors from the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden and scientists from the University of Bielefeld developed an experiment together in order to more closely investigate “learning movement in dance”. tamed is reporting the progression of this projection in a blog and can offer insight into the specifics of this cooperation.
You don’t always have to study for a degree. An inexpensive and quick alternative are the Berlin Senate’s offers for continuing education for teachers, child care workers, pedagogic personnel in schools and teachers for further education. Many events are open to all interested parties who are not childcare workers, social educators or teachers employed in the state school system, but work for independent institutions or are self-employed.
For example: from October 2014 to February 2015 on a total of four two-day meetings, you have the opportunity to educate yourself about “Dance in Early Pedagogy”, i.e., teaching dance to children who are two to six years old. The fee for Kita (kindergarden) employees: € 215,00. Careful: the number of participants is limited.

In order to develop your career, you need a junior high school diploma and, if you want to study, a high school diploma (Abitur). Since diplomas are regulated by the German Länder and not the federal government, it makes sense to research in the Land that you reside in. You can find helpful information at:

Benefind is a search machine with which you can support Stiftung TANZ. Stiftung TANZ receives one cent for every second search. Given that every little bit counts, we would be happy if as many people as possible took part.
