Ballett Kiel presents a benefit performance of “Swan Lake” on January 26, 2025, in support of the “Stiftung TANZ – Transition Zentrum Deutschland” (DANCE Foundation – Transition Center Germany). The performance will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the Kiel Opera House.
The foundation’s mission is to support dancers during their transition to a new career after the end of their active stage life. Stiftung TANZ provides both ideal and material support to dance professionals during their career transition processes. It is an honor for Stiftung TANZ to receive this special support from Ballett Kiel.
This support is particularly crucial as dancers, unlike many other professional groups, must reorient themselves professionally after a relatively short active time on stage.
The ballet “Swan Lake,” choreographed by Yaroslav Ivanenko, promises to be a special experience. The production offers a new perspective on the classic story, with the first act taking place at Princess Odette’s royal court. Set and costume designer Heiko Mönnich brings “Swan Lake” to the stage with classical grace, featuring white, subtly adorned tutus.
